Turkish President's Visit to Pakistan

Wonder what I have to say about this! You might be looking for another media sort of coverage? Well! you are in the right place, but this coverage is with a eye of a Pakistani National for whom this visit was not more than contributing to the daily life miseries.

This certain event made me write once again and proved to be revival for my personal blog. I don't intend to write much about it, so would keep it quite short.

Today was the day, when we had Turkish President coming to Pakistan. Lahore was all setup and decorated with pro Pak-Turk Friendship banners and banners having high words of praise for the Turk President. With the decoration of the spring season all around Lahore, this added to the beauty somehow. But, every Lahori knew what trouble would it cause.

Yes! As always it happens with the protocol motor charades , the same scenario was to happen today. People had to wait for hours and hours on routes for the motor charades to pass. It is awful how in the scorching heat, Pakistanis had been stopped to move freely in their own country.

What makes me more tense is the helpless attitude of my nation. We knowing fully well that this all protocol and VVIP precession is wrong, do not condemn this and scream helplessly standing at the blockades.

Is this is what Pakistan was made for? Is this what we call moving freely in our country. My point of concern is not that our politicians learn to move with in common people, but I'm more concerned that my nation should learn to protest and not only raise voice against such blockades but also offensively deny to to stop at such blockades.

And last but not the least point of concern is that the foreign delegates coming to Pakistan, who accept such protocol, I have a question  for them? Is this what they do in their country? Is this how they treat their own people. Why is it so, that when they come to Pakistan, Pakistanis are treated like untamed animals.

If we Pakistanis love Pakistan, We have to stand to against this and start outlawing such blockades for VVIP processions.

  1. hay rohan!!! love to see your concern about our country !!! and nice point that u have raise but the thing is we people have made this thing like our daily routine so we ppl don't pay much attention to it rather we start abusing at the spot neglecting the fast that it wud produce nothing then to raise our own blood pressure! so what we need to produce here is that to put awl our energy to the right direction by protesting in a civilized manner !!!!

  3. I have seen the worse in ISB/RWP where these shitty (VIP) movements are more frequent as compare to the Lahore. Its been real relief to be in LHR.
